BIO: Logan is part of a group of siblings which were all surrendered to a shelter in Tennessee. He is definitely part dachshund, but we’re not positive what else he is mixed with. From the looks of him, we’re guessing black Labrador. We don’t even know his exact date of birth, but by his size we are guessing it was around July 29, 2014. In addition to having the cutest face ever, he has a FANTASTIC personality! He sleeps a lot, like all puppies do, but when he is awake he is full of energy and love! One thing to note is that his tail seems to be on the “short” side. Not sure why, but he appears to have been born that way. However, I think it just adds to how unique he really is! If you loved to be kissed, and you want a puppy to call your own, then Logan just might be for you! In addition, please don’t let his foster location (which is in Columbia, Maryland) stand in your way. We have a slew of volunteers who will help with transporting your “new best friend” to his forever home! If you have ANY additional questions about Logan, please feel free to email me, Mary Anne, at maryanne70@gmail.com.
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
