BIO:

Are you looking for a teeny, adorable, sweet, lovable Princess ... here she is!!!  All she is missing is a tiara ... and I may have to go find her one!  This little girl is one of the sweetest doxies I have ever met.  She adores everyone ... dogs and people .... and very likely would get along with cats, too.

Princess was an owner surrender to a shelter in LA.  We can not imagine why .... unless the family wasn’t prepared for all the time one must devote to a puppy.  Princess LOVES to have your attention and wants to be in your lap or next to you whenever possible.  She is truly a delight!  She LOVES sleeping in the BIG bed, too.  Doesn’t every princess?!?!  LOL

She LOVES to play with the other dogs in her foster home, so for that reason, AADR would like her to go to a home with another pet.  It would be wonderful if she had a fenced in yard to explore, but that’s not a deal breaker if you can walk her frequently for exercise.  She travels well and calmly sleeps while riding in the car.

Please fill out an application to adopt Princess ASAP.  This cutie will not be in rescue long.  She is anxious to move to her new kingdom!

More about Princess number 3.....FL

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
