BIO Update: Hi its Mya just wanted to give everyone an update on my weight.

Foster mom is so very happy I have lost over a pound and I am looking so slim and fit. She says now I can have really small treats which is really a good thing because I just love treats.

I forgot to let everyone know last time that I am missing part of my tail. Foster mom says this is no big deal that I am still one good looking lady.

I am looking for my furever home so if you are looking for a sweet, loving fur-baby I’m that girl. Please go on line and fill out your app today at All American Dachshund Rescue.  Please feel free to email my foster mom at imm5455@hotmail.com if you have any questions.

BIO:

Hi my name is Mya I am one of those rare Blue and Tan Dachshunds. I am an owner surrender my previous owner was not able to care for me any longer. So ADDR stepped in and said that they would help me find my furever home. Now I’m living in a great foster home and looking for my new furever family. Let me tell you a little about myself!

I am a very sweet and friendly girl. I love to be outside sniffing around and watching for squirrels and other varmint that try to come into the yard. My foster sisters and I love to bark at them. So my new home will need to be fenced so that I will be able to roam around freely. It would be really great if there was another dog for me pal around with. If not that’s okay that will just mean that I will get all of the love and attention.

My foster mommy calls me a perfect little lady because I will wait patiently for my food. I don’t try and eat my foster sister’s food, I will wait until they are done and then I get to lick their bowl. They just might have left a crumb for me! Foster mommy has me on a diet because I need to lose a couple of pounds, in my opinion that is for the birds. But she is one tough lady, so a diet it is! That means no treats for me! I love to snuggle on the couch beside of you or in your lap if one it is available. At night I will sleep burrowed under my blanket all night long and not make a peep. If I can get away with it I love sleeping in the big bed.

I am completely housebroken, leashed trained and crated trained. What more could you ask for out of a perfect lady.

If I sound like the prefect fur-baby for you please go on line to All American Dachshunds Rescue and fill out an online app. If you have any questions about me please feel free to email my foster mom at imm5455@hotmail.com. She will be glad to tell you all about me; she just loves to talk about me.

More about Mya....PA

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
