BIO: This sweet dachshund was a surrender along with her sister because of very small children entering and now living at the owner’s home. Not being used to children, both doxies would jump up and try to kiss them. Instead of teaching the children how to be around dogs, the owner just got rid of them.
The good news is, Pattie now is available to be your very own lap dog! That is her favorite place to be. She just wants to be close to you and sleep. Despite her gray face and her age, she is one active dachshund! Pattie gets around like a puppy and will follow you everywhere if you want her to. Also, her tail is non-stop wagging and you can hear it whipping the floor. We are working on her potty training; because of a new environment she has to get into a schedule. Pattie uses the bathroom when our dogs go out, but when we are away from home more than a few hours, she has gone inside instead of waiting. However, she is good about going on a pad. Again, stability for her will make her housetrained.
Pattie is such a lovable little thing who will steal your heart. She will be great as an only dog or with others, and even including cats. Pattie’s personality is one that goes with all. And because of her being so loving that is why very small kids probably would not be ideal. She will jump up and opens her mouth and closes it at your lips like a bite, but it is not even close. She is just trying to get close enough to kiss you! It is actually very cute as long as you understand what she is doing.
