BIO:

Hi everyone, my name is Pupper Doo! I am a boisterous 8 month old, smooth coat, black and tan miniature Dachshund puppy. Everyone says I am cute as a button. I used to live in Nashville, TN the home of country music, but one day I was posted on something called Craigslist 'free to a good home'. A lady picked me up because she didn’t want a backyard breeder to get a hold of me since I was not neutered. She then reached out to All American Dachshund Rescue so I would be able to find the perfect furever home. This is how I ended up in my foster home.

So far, I am doing really good in my foster home. I just love my foster brothers and sisters and get along with everyone. Since I am only 8 months old, all I want to do is play, play and play some more. I am doing really well with potty training and am starting to understand pottying is for outside not inside. My foster mom says once I am fixed on the 22nd, this will be easier to accomplish.

I would prefer a home with a fenced-in backyard, but I am leash trained and walk great. Since I am a puppy, I will need lots of exercise daily and positive reinforcement with training. My foster mom thinks I will do better in a home with another doggie to play with and learn the ropes from. I am a love bug and just want a family to call my own. Is that family yours? If you are interested in me, please email my foster mom Cathy at cathyjbm@aol.com and she will be happy to answer any questions you have about me.

Good with Dogs, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
