BIO: I’m the smallest of all my brothers and sisters but don’t let size scare you, I can hold my own with all my brothers and sisters.

They say I have a little umbilical hernia and they’ll fix that before I go to my forever home at 12 to 14 weeks but it doesn’t hurt, I promise you, but they said it has to be fixed. Please, please don’t let that stop you from adopting me… just look at how pretty I am! I already have the stance of a beauty queen.

Look at it this way... in April, when I can come home with you, I’ll be already spayed and will have been given all my puppy shots. You can teach me all the things I need to learn and I’ll be happy in your fenced in yard, and it will be spring time, time to run and play, gosh we’ll have such great  fun!!

By that time maybe they’ll let me go on a volunteer transport and you won’t have to drive but 50-75 miles to get me. So ALL you people way up north me look at me!!!

I’M WORTH THE WAIT, I PROMISE YOU!!

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
