BIO: REAL men wear pink!! Have you heard that? Well it’s true and I’m proof of that, while I wear pink I’m all boy but I have a soft side too. I love PEOPLE, men, women, kids, I love them all! If you are looking for a friendly guy, housebroken and who loves to follow you everywhere, well I’m your guy.
I was given up by my owner in KY when she brought home two bigger and younger dogs and the landlord told her to get rid of those dogs. Instead, she decided to dump me and my partner, Abby (she needs a home too). We are not bonded so that’s why the rescue decided it would be better to split us so we’d have a better chance at finding a home.
Anyway enough about that, my teeth were terrible when I came in so the kind doctor cleaned what he could and removed the rest and I feel SO much better. He also had to remove some things called dewclaws. Now I’m in fine shape and ready to find my last and forever home. Will that be you? I promise you with every breath in my body that you will be the center of my world. Please take a chance on me, you won’t be sorry!
And if by chance you’re looking for two, consider Abby too!
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
