Sassy
Maybe you weren't wanted by everyone but you
were wanted and loved by SSDR. Please see
where you are running now and pain free. We
loved you then and we love you now. You will
be forever in SSDR's hearts.
Priscilla
Priscilla was already a very senior lady when
her mother left her at a shelter, knowing her life
would be ended there. Thanks to an SSDR
member, she came to rescue and to a home for
the rest of her life. That time was too short for
her new mommy. Miss Priscilla, I'll never forget
your funny little walk and how your little body
curled up to cuddle. Thank you for the time we
had together. Now you can see with both eyes
and your little legs run without pain.
Petunia
We are so sorry we couldn't fix what was wrong
but we know you were happier your last few
months than you were your whole life. Run free
and happy sweet Petunia, missed and loved by
Miss Sharon and Diane
For Jack
Jack was with us for three years.
His poor heart gave out before any of us
were ready.
We were lucky to play ball with him
everyday of his life.
What a great dachshund we found - a real
treasure!
Our first, but not our last.
Karen Martin and the kids we were blessed
Hope
For nearly four years we were blessed with
the companionship of our dear Hope, whom
we adopted later in her life. She was a great
older sister to our other two dachshunds,
and taught them a thing or two about
lobbying for treats or a warm lap. Hope was
happiest when curled beside you on the
couch or in bed. She was happy to have me
carry her around like a football until my arm
tired out. Hope was great with children and
babies, and was a neighborhood favorite
because she would let anyone pet her. She
was a spunky little gal, who could be a
tough cookie. She was my little baby. We'll
miss our little Hope-a-dope dearly, but we
will love her and keep her in our memories
forever.
