Eagle Davis, RIP April 2022
It is with great sadness to inform you that one of your alumni, Eagle Davis (aka Albein), has passed. He gave us 3 beautiful years together and I will always cherish them. His buddies in the foursome photo (see In Memoriam section on AADR website) are Patton, Oscar and Pebbles. All rescues except the blonde, Patton. Eagle copied them and became one of the gang. He came to us with his own bed, but he did not go back to it once he discovered the big bed. That was his favorite spot. Eagle didn't use his voice until we had him for over a year. From then on if anybody came to visit he let them have it. Lol. It was a pleasure to watch his personality come out along with his Dachshund attitude. He will be forever missed. - Susan Davis

Tess
Our sweet Tess. Adopted from AADR in 2011. Faithful friend. Our beautiful brown-eyed girl. Rest In Peace sweet girl. She was diagnosed a few years ago with heart failure. She fought through it so bravely and hard. She took her last breaths this morning. She introduced us to AADR. She was the best girl.

Krisses, RIP April 2022
My little Angel, Krissie, passed this month. She came to us from AADR at the age of 12 and gave us 4 wonderful years. She was sweet and loving. It took her a long while to realize she was in a safe and loving place but she was so worth the wait. I will never get over losing her. Krissie loved to sit on my husband after dinner and would stay there all night. I carried her around the kitchen every day so she could see what I was doing and so I could kiss her. She was our baby. Krissie, we love you little baby girl.

In Memory of Polly Cortez, RIP 2022
Polly was loved so very much by Emily and Wade Cortez. She was so lucky to have such a loving family. Polly was one of the 3 queens! May she rest pain-free and have unlimited treats. Our hearts are hurting for Emily and Wade. Polly will never be forgotten.... Lisa & Harry George

In Loving Memory of Gracie 11/24/2006-4/1/2022
It's with a heavy and broken heart that my sweet girl, Gracie, passed on April 1, 2022. I adopted her from AADR in 2017. She was known as Gracie#9. Her foster Mom, Lynn Southergil in Spring Hill, TN gave her a wonderful foster home and the company of her two foster brothers. I saw her on the AADR website and her sweet white face and dark eyes spoke to me. She reminded me of another senior dog I had rescued years ago and lost, Oscar. Less than 5 months before I had lost my 12 year old Oliver to cancer and said I could not go through having and losing another dog ever again. But when I saw Gracie I knew I had room to love again. She was my sweet baby and I could not bear to see her being sick and hurting, so I had to let her go. My heart is broken because I thought I would have more time with her. My home is empty and I am so lost without her. I miss her all buried in her blankets in one of her 3 doggie beds. I miss her being behind the door with her tail wagging where I would pick her up and we would both give kisses. I miss her sleeping and snoring really loud in my bed at night. Gracie passed at home, peacefully, in my arms getting lots of love and kisses. I will miss her and love her until I see her again. happy, healthy and playing with all her brothers. RIP
