Scarlet
Scarlet was a cherished 14 year old Doxie who, although loved by her entire family, spent her entire life idolizing her dad , being most content when she could snuggle beside him on a couch. She crossed the Rainbow Bridge on May 26, 2022 from the comfort of his arms and was joyfully met by her 4-legged family members, Fritz, Cosmo, Miko, Justin, Louie, Charlie, Dancer, Goose & Ducky. Run free, eat lots of treats & languish in the sunbeams sweet girl. We look forward to seeing you again. -Sandy Thomas on behalf of her son, Andrew.
Vida, RIP
Hi Diane & all the wienerful folks at AADR,
It is with a heavy heart that I inform you that our beloved Vida crossed the Rainbow Bridge today. She would have been 15 next month. Vida gave us a lifetime of memories as well as a lifetime friend with her foster mom Stephanie Burmeister. Thank you Diane for giving us the opportunity to add Vida to our family 9 years ago, it was truly an honor to be her pawrents. She will be missed.

Eagle Davis, RIP April 2022
It is with great sadness to inform you that one of your alumni, Eagle Davis (aka Albein), has passed. He gave us 3 beautiful years together and I will always cherish them.
His buddies in the foursome photo (see In Memoriam section on AADR website) are Patton, Oscar and Pebbles. All rescues except the blonde, Patton. Eagle copied them and became one of the gang.
He came to us with his own bed, but he did not go back to it once he discovered the big bed. That was his favorite spot.
Eagle didn't use his voice until we had him for over a year. From then on if anybody came to visit he let them have it. Lol.
It was a pleasure to watch his personality come out along with his Dachshund attitude. He will be forever missed.
- Susan Davis
Tess
Our sweet Tess. Adopted from AADR in 2011. Faithful friend. Our beautiful brown-eyed girl. Rest In Peace sweet girl. She was diagnosed a few years ago with heart failure. She fought through it so bravely and hard. She took her last breaths this morning. She introduced us to AADR. She was the best girl.
Krisses, RIP April 2022
My little Angel, Krissie, passed this month. She came to us from AADR at the age of 12 and gave us 4 wonderful years. She was sweet and loving. It took her a long while to realize she was in a safe and loving place but she was so worth the wait. I will never get over losing her. Krissie loved to sit on my husband after dinner and would stay there all night. I carried her around the kitchen every day so she could see what I was doing and so I could kiss her. She was our baby. Krissie, we love you little baby girl.
