Rainbow Bridge

Summer RIP
Sweet Summer crossed the Rainbow Bridge on May 12, 2023 at 11 years young after unexpectedly having a bad seizure that the emergency vet could not bring her out of. They ultimately think she had an underlying brain tumor or possible stroke. In her short time with us, she shared so many things about herself. She had a bark like a lion and always informed us when it was time to be fed. If she was extra excited, you got to witness her backwards Moonwalk dance! She spent her days cuddling on my lap in the recliner, adorably snoozing around the house, and rolling over on her back for you to give her belly rubs. This girl was truly a sweetheart and was so loved. Had we known she only had a month, we'd do it all over again. Sweet dreams to my "Cadbury Lion".

Oscar from AL....RIP sweet boy
It is with a very heavy heart that I have to tell you that my darling Oscar has traveled over the rainbow bridge. He was suffering from dementia and his wonderful vets and I had an appointment to discuss his quality of life and made the decision to free him from his earthly home to one free of confusion and pain. I loved him to the moon and back. Wanted to let you know I did my very best and tried everything I could for him. He was quite the celebrity around our country roads in his stroller walking every day. - Pam M.

Scooby...RIP
Today, October 15, marks the first year anniversary of our little Scooby’s passing. IN LOVING MEMORY OF SCOOBY MARCH 17, 2006 TO OCTOBER 15, 2021 We adopted Scooby on Feb. 9, 2008. We met in Tennessee to pick up this little guy. It was love at first sight. He quickly became comfortable in his new home. He was absolute joy to us. We truly “rescued” each other. We will always miss him – he was quite the character. We never realized what a “pack leader” he was until he went to the “rainbow bridge”. Staci - his constant 4 legged companion is lost without him ---- and so are we . We are ever so thankful for all the work that “ALL AMERICAN DACHSHUND RESCUE” does with these four legged fur babies. With a very special thank you to you Diane. We were truly blessed to have him as a part of our family for all that time. We will always have a special place in our hearts for Scooby (our little man)------- forever ! Sincerely, The Pettigrew family - Jim, Joyce , and Staci (and Scooby in spirit)

Apache RIP
Went to his adoptive home and was set down in the unfenced yard to potty before bring him into the home. He backed out of his harness and was ran ... found 5 hours later ... deceased on a busy road near the home. RIP sweet sweet Apache we are so sorry we let you down.

Sammy RIP
We are sad to report our dear 18yr old darling Sammy peacefully crossed the bridge, last week. He was adopted in 2016 from AADR ( fostered in Michigan)and lived a pampered life here in Niagara, Ontario, Canada. Sammy lived happily with his doxie buddy Diesel, a red standard longhaired. We are all heartbroken. Thank you all at AADR for bringing this sweet soul to us. We miss him so.
