Happy Tales

Every one of these Dachshunds has been rescued by an angel...

Harley's Brave Journey   Harley's Story is a great inspiration to AADR because it shows that no matter how desperate the situation, saving one life makes the ultimate difference. DeeAnn, Harley's foster mom, has included her personal account with Harley's amazing story and where he is now.Harley was found homeless and sick. He only had a 50% chance of survival. Now he is living a life of true happiness and contentment. Read More...

Zelda #2...GA

I thought I would share a recent picture of Miss Zelda and her brother Dudley. she has been a wonderful addition to our family and Dudley's best bud!

Zelda #2...GA

Miss Zelda is doing wonderful. I can't believe it has been almost a month that she has been with us. She has blended in so well, I feel like she has been with us her entire life. She is so well- behaved and so smart. She had her wellness check last Saturday, and she was so at ease at the vet office. Her check up went very well and she is very healthy. I've attached a few pictures from the last month. On a couple of pictures she is with Dudley, our three year old dachshund, who is her best buddy! Thank you. Nancy

Zeke...VA

Zeke is doing wonderfully. We have several doxies and there have been absolutely no issues with his acclamation and their acceptance of him and him of them. He loves to play and be outside, especially in the snow! I have noticed that he snarls at times; both to let you know he's done with whatever you are doing, (namely trying to comb or removed knotted hair), and to play. He has improved considerably in expanding how much he will tolerate. He's a great addition to our family!! We love him dearly.

Zipper...MI
Zipper...MI

He’s a she, but she is doing great. She has adjusted very well with the other three dogs. She is still working on potty etiquette. She knows inside is a no, no and outside is OK, but she doesn’t know how to ask to go out. Sometimes she goes out a takes a dump and comes in and pee’s. She will learn, it just takes time. She only has an accident once in a while. She is a little treasure. She went from 6.11 pounds to 7.2 pounds.

Zoe #2...AR

She is doing great. Here are some pics of her. I am really enjoying her.
