Happy Tales

Every one of these Dachshunds has been rescued by an angel...

Harley's Brave Journey   Harley's Story is a great inspiration to AADR because it shows that no matter how desperate the situation, saving one life makes the ultimate difference. DeeAnn, Harley's foster mom, has included her personal account with Harley's amazing story and where he is now.Harley was found homeless and sick. He only had a 50% chance of survival. Now he is living a life of true happiness and contentment. Read More...

Ernie

I just wanted to give you an update on Ernie. He is doing great!!! He is well adjusted to his new forever home and loving all his new experiences. He is very well taken care of and loved. Ernie has a great dispostion too....he has been so well behaved! I don't have any questions thus far but I will definitely let you know if anything comes up. Ernie goes for his first vet visit in Philadelphia tomorrow. Thank you so much for your concern and time with all of the dachshunds! I am very grateful to be providing Ernie with his loving forever home. :) Attached is a recent picture of Ernie at the house. Thanks again, Allison

Ernie

Ernie was adopted back in 2009!  We recently received another update on this guy and his forever home.

I just wanted to update you on Ernie...Shortly after his 5th birthday this year, my husband and I moved.  Also, I think I mentioned last year that Ernie has a new sister, Dixie (who is now 2 years old).  The two of them are completely inseparable.  They sleep together, play together, and seem to really love each other.  Since moving down here, we have noticed that Ernie seems to be a lot happier, more relaxed, and more content.  He loves the nicer weather and fresh air.  We also take weekly walks around a trail on a nearby lake that he seems to really enjoy.  These walks also keep him in really good physical shape!  All in all, Ernie is very happy and healthy and enjoying having a new friend and playmate.

I hope all is well with you and your family...Have a wonderful holiday season!

Warm regards,

Allison
