Maggie Mae....FL

Maggie Mae came to us from a shelter.  She was down with severe back issues when we took her in.  We mobilized an effort to raise funds for her and got her the surgery she needed.  She was on the road to improvement when she suffered a setback.  Then she was moved to a foster home where she once again began her recovery.  It would be a long process and it was decided to send her to another organization that specialized in rehabilitation cases.  Again, Maggie improved and was almost ready to find her forever home when tragedy again struck. This time a tornado hit the facility she was in and did signficant damage.  Maggie Mae was again moved to another foster home while repairs to the facility were underway.  It was there that yet another setback in her recovery occurred.  Back to the rehab facility and then through a chain of events, AADR got her back.  She went to a foster home in Alabama that has done some great things with dogs with IVDD.  Not too long ago, she was adopted and moved to Jacksonville!!  A long time coming for this sweet girl but she has her own forever home.  They were so excited and happy they have since adopted another AADR dog as a brother!!!  This is what a community of folks can do when they don't give up and give love a chance.
