About OSCAR..TN

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Housetrained: Yes
DACHSHUND...............................PURE/MINI COAT..............................................SMOOTH COLOR...........................................BLACK AND TAN AGE.................................................2 YRS WEIGHT..........................................8-9 LBS CONTRACT nashcat2@bellsouth.net ADOPTION FEE.............................250.00 + 10.00 chip fee Oscar is about 2 years old. He is current on all shots and is due for his pro-heart injection at the middle of this month. Due to some dangers associated with this shot (see: Moxidectin Website and The Pet Guardian ) I am going to give him an interceptor at the end of the month. He hasn't had any accidents in my house since I have had him. He is a sweet little dog and gets along very well with my other dogs. He does chase my cat, but thats all he'll do. He would be a great dog for older children or an active couple as he has lots of energy! He also likes to cuddle. If you need any more information, let me know. Out of state adoptions are welcome and a home visit is required. If you are interested in Oscar please go online to www.ssdr.org and fill out an online adoption application and put his name on it. Thank you for your interest in a rescue.

More about OSCAR..TN

Is Not Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
