BEING FOSTER IN MIDDLE TN...........

SNOOPY came to us from Chattanooga, TN where we think he had been abused in the past. When he is in a new situation he is a little hand shy but it doesn't take him long to warm up. SNOOPY loves loves loves children and even babies. SNOOPY would be great for a young family that have little children. He likes to sleep on the big bed weather you are in it or not. He gets along with all the other dogs here and even plays with some of them. This is a really sweet boy and deserves the best of families that will treat him with love and respect. He will return it 10 fold. He is UTD on all shots and on Frontline and being treated for heartworm cause his onther family didn't think enough of him to keep him on heartworm prevention. By the time you complete your application and we do the home visit he'll be ready to go to his new home with no lasting effects from the heartworms or treatment. Please give this boy a forever home. Oh he is ok with cats but not great and uses the doggie door so would need help with housebreaking to learn the ropes again.

Not Good with Cats

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
