About SOPHIE..NH

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Housetrained: Yes
WE ARE SO SO HAPPY SOPHIE AND SIMONE GET TO STAY TOGETHER!! This is Sophie. She was surrendered into our rescue due to family issues. Sophie came with Simone & they have been together since Sophie was born. We would prefer that they go together but they can be separated. Simone & Sophie love to cuddle & be loved on. They are good with cats, however they like to play chase with them once they get to know the cat. They are good with small dogs, but do not like big dogs. They both LOVE children and going for car rides. They are housebroken. Sophie is the quieter of the two girls. All she wants to do is be next to you and be loved on. She usually just follows Simone's lead in whatever adventure that she is going on. They like to sleep in the big bed with you but will not jump on furniture until they get the "ok" from you. These girls deserve a forever home!!!! They are up to date on all shots, spayed, they have had a dental, and on Interceptor and Frontline. Please find it in your heart to adopt these too girls, they are just wanting a home of their own. If you have any questions you can contact us or fill out an adoption application. Go to www.ssdr.org to fill out online application or to contract us direct.

Is Not Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
