BIO:

Allow me to introduce to you, AKC registered, Kung Fu Cowboy, aka Bruce Lee. Bruce is a very unique dog because of his color and personality. His color is called Isabella or sometimes called Blue. Bruce Lee came into foster care after his breeders large German Shepard attacked him and Bruce Lee didn’t want anything to do with the humans anymore. He has done fabulous in foster care. He gets along well with his foster siblings, boy or girl, large or small. He gets along great with children and with any new people that come to the house. He is a very friendly guy who needs someone to continue to build his confidence by being kind to him and giving him boundaries. Bruce Lee likes to go for car rides, likes to have lots of exercise, and loves to cuddle in bed with you. He is working on being crate trained but he would really prefer not to ever be in a crate.  Bruce Lee is housetrained if you keep him on a schedule. Sometimes he will try to mark and I tell him – don’t even think about it – and he walks away. Bruce Lee has a funny personality and is very entertaining to be around. Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport.

If shipping by volunteers through our organization or paid transporter, then there will be an additional $35

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
