SPARKLE came from Nashville Metro Animal Control where she was picked up as a stray. She is very very sweet and loves, loves her people. She would really do best as an only dog due to wanting all the attention but does get along with the males and some of the females here in foster care. She will need further work on housetraining and we suggest the crate training method. She is UTD on all shots, heatworm negative and on Interceptor and Frontline. She does love to sleep in the big bed right in your arms all night long and will follow you everywhere. She was timid when she first came into rescue but now that she knows she is safe she is fine. Please give this homeless little girl a forever home she can call her own. Need more info just e mail.

Good with Dogs, Is Not Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
