BIO:

Stewart is a perky , happy, perfect dog. He is very playful, when he isn't napping . He loves sleeping on his playmate Bells . He would love to go to work with me every day . Loves playing in the house and yard . He is quite a jumper . He enjoys his rope toys at night . He sleeps thru the night in his crate .

He is fully vetted and would make a great companion . We love him . He gets along well with our 5 other dogs , people and kids . He doesn't answer to his name so feel free to choose your own name .

We are sorry but families with children under 7 should not apply we do not want our dachshunds hurt because a child could accidently drop the puppy or fall on him/her.

More about Stewart....MA

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
