BIO

Watson #2  is a courtesy listing and not associated with All American Dachshund Rescue.  Please contact Diane or Patti  at the e-mail listed above for further details on Watson 2 and how to adopt him.

Watson is a Dachshund/Min Pin mix but he thinks he’s all dachshund. He likes to sleep under a blanket. He gets along with the other dogs is very low key. He does not like to be picked up and will voice his displeasure but it is only a voicing and nothing more…all we say to him is “stop that”.

He is housebroken to a doggie door but will also go to the door to go out to potty.

He would be good with older kids, 14 and up or empty nesters or a single person…he does seem to prefer men over women but will be fine with both.  If you are looking for a longer legged dachshund mix please consider Watson for adoption to find out more about Watson please contact his foster home, either one.

Good with Dogs, Not Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
