BIO:

Snoopy has a couple of seizures and our vet felt it was best to put him on anti-seizure meds in pill form from the vet and in a pet chewable pill. He will not need blood work because the seizures are very light.

Snoopy is just the cutest little guy!!  He adores sitting in laps and going for a ride.  He is so tiny that it’s easy to scoop him up and carry him anywhere too.  He needs to gain a little weight, but slowly using good nutrition.  Snoopy loves sleeping in the big bed and snuggling with his human.  He gets along with other hounds, male and female.  He has not been tested with cats, but so far does not exhibit a high prey drive.  He is good to take care of business when taken outside but does not ask to go out.  He is the most precious little thing, don’t wait too long to apply or the foster home will scoop him first!

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
